The Way of St James, or the Camino de Santiago de Compostela is a series of pilgrimage routes running across all of Europe with Santiago de Compostela in north-west Spain as their final destination. People have been walking it – as a pilgrimage route – for over a thousand years.
This is an impressive section of Saint James Way since it crosses the Aubrac Plateau.
Conques is a medieval city in the Aveyron department , southern France, in the Midi-Pyrénées region.

Thanks for bringing back lovely memories of my time on the Chemin! Especially love the pictures with the geraniums – they’re everywhere, and were one of my favourite parts of passing through the little towns.

Awesome series! One of the most magical times I’ve had traveling was taking three weeks to drive that little Audi on a zig-zag route across the Pyrenees from Perpignan to San Sebastian. Thanks for bringing back the great memories!
