Everyone or so knows the name of Bordeaux because of the prestigious wine Grands Crus but who knows that this wealthy city is one of the favourite cities and was even ranked on top of the list among the French people thanks to its quality of life and its beauty.
The wine capital has a port called the Port of the Moon were 2000 years ago the first ships were loaded with the precious beverage.
Bordeaux is also the departure point of many cycling tours and hikes through the varied vineyards and towards the Ocean, as well as the start of the Velodyssey the famous longest cycling trail along the Atlantic coast. An easy access thanks to the TGV (3 hours from Paris) and the airport with direct flights from London or Paris.
