France – Velodyssey : The ” Port de la Cayenne” , Marennes – La Tremblade – 30 photos

The port of La Cayenne is the oyster port of Marennes, small river town

of the Charente-Maritime

which is today one of the main oyster-farming ports of France.

Crossing France from north to south along the Atlantic,

the cycling track of 1,200 km makes it possible

to make a real cycling odyssey through the landscapes,

the cities and the terroirs of

 Western France.

The Velodyssey is France’s longest

marked cycle trail.

It starts in Brittany and ends near the Spanish border , from

Roscoff to Hendaye in the Basque Country.

the first oyster basin in France and even in Europe
