About

This blog is a pictures blog created by Thierry and Cecile, for the website http://www.walk-bike-camino.com, where you can find walking and biking tours in France and Europe especially on the Caminos (Way of St James) in France Spain, Portugal.

France is a  hiking paradise and our goal is to share our passion for the diversity of our country.

We also are expert of the famous Camino Frances or the Camino del Norte in Spain but also in France where there are plenty of routes to reach St jean Pied de Port in the Basque country : The Puy Route, the Vezelay Route, the Foothill or Pyrenenan Route, the Arles Way…

Thank you for your interest.

  5. Thierry and Cecile I am agreat lover of nature and the environment. I love my country with a passion however France is my favourite place outside of Australia. My wife and I took a touring holiday through France in 2006 and we found the country, the environment and the people to be magnificent.

For many years my wife, Sue, and I ran a bushwalking club in Queensland where we took day hikes through the major hiking trails in South East Queensland. We love to walk and we would love to try some hiking in your country.

I look forward to reading your blog regularly.

  6. thanks for following us Cecile and Thierry. My dream is to travel to France – was on my five year plan but unfortunately that time is nearly up and with renovations being the priority here it has to go back to five year plan. Will definitely do for my 50th birthday!!! If not before. Look forward to following your blog and learning more about your beautiful country. We’ll be bringing our mountain bikes with us when we do make it over.

  12. Thierry and Cecile,
Thank you for following http://www.lostinsiouxland.com. It is not as exotic as what France might seem to be. You two have a very nice site. I visited Europe in college as part of a folk dance troupe performing in various folk dance festivals, a number of them in France. I haven’t been back since, but looking at your site makes me nostalgic, and it is fun to see the various locales. Keep up the marvelous work, and thanks again.

  27. France is a wonderful place. We have traveled my ancestral area near Cheffois in La Vendée more than once and have “cousins 400 years removed” there in Mouillerons-en-Pared, my ancestral “ground zero,” with whom we have been in touch since 1995. In 2009 we visited Paris (again), Mouillerons (again), Chartres, Vimy, La Rochelle, Beynac, Sarlat, Les Eyzies, Albi, Carcassonne, Peyrepertuse, Collioure and Nice. And of course, les Pyrénées-Atlantique this year at the start of our Camino Frances en avril. Merci bien for following my blog.
