Cette commune des Hautes-Alpes de 290 habitants est entièrement située dans le parc naturel régional du Queyras.

L’église du village est située à 2 042 m d’altitude et fait de Saint-Véran « la plus haute commune d’Europe ». Il est aussi classé parmi les plus beaux villages de France.

In fact Saint-Véran comprises two other hamlets : La Chalp and les Raux and is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and picturesque villages in France . It stretches peacefully on the hillside of the Beauregard Range where you can discover an exceptionnaly rich fauna and flora.
