Wonderful photos. (Just the kind I like to take myself, so I am a bit green-faced, both of your ability with the camera and of the markets you have available to you! Western Massachusetts in the US will be sumptuous in July, August, and September, but it is very austere the rest of the year, unlike the South of France.
Salut!

Did we love going to those markets 30 years plus ago when we lived in Paris. Best breads ever to buy was at those markets.

We rarely get these kind of markets in Scotland we don’t even have fruit & veg shops anymore everything is sold from the big Supermarkets.

My parents have a house in this part of the world (near Beziers) and as soon as I saw the photos I was wondering if they were from Languadoc region (the Cataln influence with the paella, the bright green elongated local olives).
What a coincidence 🙂

Thank you for your interest ! In April in France you must have been cold ! Spring is very late this year ! I live in southwestern France, not far from Leon, in Capbreton 17 km from Bayonne. The carp is great ! Thanks again. Cécile

Yes, it was colder than in previous years and didn’t get to sunbathe as much, but we still had a few ‘warm’ days to wear t-shirts and shorts. At least it was warmer than in England! You’re lucky to live down there: it’s truly beautiful and we love the lakes!
